Boycott Abercrombie & Fitch...they ONLY want cool, skinny, beautiful, perfect people wearing their clothes.

One thing I love about today's designers and clothing lines is everyone can be fashionable and feel beautiful.  Fashion shouldn't be limited to size. There are women who have amazing style at a size two and there are women who have amazing style at a size 18.... but Abercrombie & Fitch only wants small, beautiful, and cool people wearing their clothes. They don't want plus size women wearing their clothes or shopping in their store. Newsflash, Abercrombie... YOU haven't been "cool" since the 90's.

According to Abercrombie their only target is the "in" crowd and according to CEO Mike Jeffries, plus size women will never be in the "in" crowd.

Sad. I think Adele is in the "in" croud. Who is Mike Jeffries?

In a 2006 interview with Salon, Jeffries confirmed that the communication between hot people is his primary marketing tactic.
“It’s almost everything. That’s why we hire good-looking people in our stores. Because good-looking people attract other good-looking people, and we want to market to cool, good-looking people. We don’t market to anyone other than that,” he said.

Read the rest of the article: Read here !!

I think that's a terrible message to put out there and I think it's a brand that represents discrimination on many levels. Abercombie is targeted towards teenagers and what this bone head forgot is most teenagers cannot afford a $70 tee shirt thus making their target consumer parents! This was a bad and tasteless thing to do.
Mark my words, I will never step foot in Abercombie again... not that I have since 1998 anyway, when I figured out their clothes really weren't all that cool.

How does that article resonate with you? Do you think it's awful? Do you think it's acceptable? Does it bother you? Will you still buy their clothes? I'm curious to hear YOUR opinion on it whatever it may be.

FOTD & new hair color

Ahhhh... it's finally starting to feel like spring and that means I'm slowly emerging from my winter slump.

The winter does me no favors. At all. Winter is my enemy.

It's too cold to leave and I feel like I never have the need to get presentable which is depressing. Getting ready can make the world of a difference on your mood because you feel better

A fresh new hair color and a little fake tanner can somehow brighten my mood. Call me superficial. No, don't.

I'm telling you though... sometimes that's all it takes.

For my hair color I used Garnier Darkest Brown 30-Sweet Cola. It's a really nice hair color but I think I'd like it just a pinch darker. But, I like it.

For my FOTD:
Foundation: Make Up Forever HD 125
Concealer: MAC Prep & Primer Highlighter in Light Boost
Bronzer: NYX Bronzer #2
Blush: Laura Geller Pink Grapefruit
Highlighter: Dior Amber Rose
Mascara: L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black
Eyeshadow: Naked Palette- Sin and Dark Horse
Liner: Sephora Smoky Creme liner in Statue Bronze
Lips: NYX Liner in Nude and MAC Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare

Shirt: Marshall's
Necklace: Forever 21
Earrings: Target

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in 001 Honey

Most mornings for me are crazy chaos. I get up and get my two boys ready for school and that leaves little time for me to get ready. Because I don't want to look like a complete tornado when walking my kids into school I usually grab Revlon's Just Bitten lipstain in "Honey". It's the perfect rosy nude that doesn't clash with my bare face and brings some life back into me. It's a very complimentary color, for me at least. I find myself grabbing for this color for many reasons: the color is gorg!, the staying power is awesome (5-6 hours), and the glossy sheen is right up my ally. It does have a slight mint scent that I could do without but it's bearable. This is the 3rd lipstain I've gotten from the Just Bitten collection and I'm very impressed.

What colors do you recommend from this line? I'm all ears!

These retail from $7-8 dollars anywhere Revlon is sold.

Hope you have a beautiful FRIDAY! Whoooo!

Pinteresting...

Hello fellow Pinterest addict. Nice to meet you. I'm Sarah.

I am totally addicted to Pinterest. I'd even go as far as to say it's a hobby, can pin-ing even be a hobby? If only I could be a professional Pinterester... my life would be complete.

Enough about that.... the reason for this post is not to gain new followers (but, if you want to follow me... sweet! thanks) but I want to check out all of your boards. I love finding new awesome people to follow!

So, if you have a Pinterest go ahead and comment your link to me and I'd love to follow you!

Thank you guys for everything. I know that I haven't been the greatest blogger in the world and I don't know what I'm doing half the time in creating a blog but thank you for sticking with me, supporting me, encouraging me. It means the world to me. My goal is to start blogging again but in a way that's more transparent without fear. I think I'm going to start blogging in the way I really want to and just be me. I think I've felt so constricted to the fact this is a make-up blog that I haven't really even poured my heart and soul into it because I am so much more than make-up & I'd like to share that if you'd want me to.

Again, thanks for sticking with me.

XOXO, SARAH

My best skincare routine yet! Amazing results!

I finally found a skincare routine that does wonders for my skin. It took me a really long time to get the results I was looking for but I finally found it. I love it and I am sticking with it. I am a bit of a skincare junkie and that can wreak havoc on your skin if you are not sticking with something that works and irritating your skin. The products I will be telling you about have given my skin the most amazing glow, smoothed out fine lines, smoothed out my tone and texture and given me skin I am actually happy with. The best thing is... some of my favorite things are DRUG STORE products!

Morning routine:
Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Cleanser
Avon Anew Re-texturing Pads or Somme Institute Transport Two Pads
St. Ives Timeless Skin Moisturizer mixed with Philosophy Turbo Boost C

Night routine:
Formula 10.0.6 Cleanser with Clarisonic
Ponds Wipes
Lancome Genifique serum
St. Ives Timeless Skin Moisturizer
LashEm 3 in 1 Eye Bright
Sara Happ "The Lip Slip" One Luxe Balm

3-4 times a week:
GlamGlow Mask
St. Ives Apricot Scrub
Sara Happ "The Lip Scrub" in Blood Orange

This product is a gem. I came across it a few weeks ago on Pinterest and it said, "Dr. Oz say St. Ives Timeless Skin is all you need for perfect skin." I took that with a grain of salt but at the same time it intrigued me. I'm so glad the beauty junkie in me ran out to the nearest drugstore as fast as I could. First off, this baby was only $5 and the tub is HUGE (10 oz). I almost can't believe something is amazing could cost this little and it will last me probably a year! Thank you St. Ives for thinking of the customers!!! I really do feel it does everything it claims. My skin feels so smooth. LINK! If you want more info I linked up the St. Ives website. I give this product a 10 out of 10!

The Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward cleanser is something I picked up on a whim because I thought the packaging was cute. I'm a sucker- they got me. But, I'm glad I did and to be honest I've never heard of this brand before. Now I am super curious about their entire line because everything looks amazing. I found this at Walgreens and when I went back it was no longer in stock. :o/ This cleanser cleans all my make up off, leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. It's an amazing foam cleanser. LINK!

The St. Ives Apricot Scrub is kind of a cult classic so I don't know why it took me this long to try it. I've tried many, many exfoliators in my time and this one is my favorite. It doesn't feel to harsh on my skin and it leaves my skin with a healthy looking glow. LINK!

Philosophy Turbo Booster C Powder I was kind of nervous to try this because I had a horrible reaction to Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum but vitamin C is so important for your skin. I'm very pleased that I've had nothing but amazing results from this. Soft/Glowing skin...that's kind of the theme here. :) I mix a scoop of this with my St. Ives moisturizer in the morning.

I alternate between the Avon Anew Re-texturing Peel and the Somme Institute Transport Two Pads. They pretty much do the same thing- both gycolic exfoliating pads. I've been using the Avon Pads for about 4 years and I love them. They give amazing results and aren't over the top in price. To date it's one of my favorite beauty secrets. LINK! <-- avon="" b="" link="" nbsp="" product="" the="" think="" to="">Somme Institute
pads are just as amazing and they actually have a few more beneficial ingredients but they are more expensive. Link!
I've been using this for probably two years now. It's a highly recommend serum by me.  Whenever anyone asks me about a serum this is the one I always say. One word: Smooth skin!
I saw a review on this on Youtube and it really sounded awesome. I had never heard of this brand before but as you that never stops me. It's called LashEm 3 in 1 Eye Bright. This is a night only eye gel. What I've noticed is I don't need as much concealer, my eyes are less puffy, dark circles have faded, fine lines softened. So, I'd say it's BETTER THAN GOOD! I'm really happy with this because I've never really been impressed by an eye cream before- they all seem to disappoint. This did not disappoint! LINK!

This mask is amazing. Hands down the best mask I've ever tried. Want glowing results? Try this! I'm honestly in love with everything about it... except the size and price. I ordered mine from Sephora and when it arrived I was very disappointed with the size 1.2 for $69. What! I mean c'mon at least make it 4 oz for that price. But, will I buy it again? Yes yes yes! Will I complain about the size and price? You better believe it. I think the results are worth it though. Darn it. LINK!
These two products have been a life saver for my lips this winter! First I use the lip scrub in Blood Orange to exfoliate my lips and get rid of the loose skin and cracks.
It tastes ah-mazing! Second I put on the lip slip. This is an awesome moisturizing lip balm and it does leave your lips feeling sticky or goopy. Hurray!

I'm loving these Ponds wipes. I use these at night after I cleanse my face or if I've stayed up too late and need to get my make up off quickly.

Glad I could share my current routine with you. It's been doing wonders for my skin.
My skin is dry, with a semi-oily T-zone and prone to hormonal breakouts... boooooo!

Hope you all are having a fantastic day!
